The conference takes place at the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort in Curaçao. We have negotiated special rates with the conference hotel.

If you do not wish to include breakfast in your booking, you must contact the hotel and ask them to remove the breakfast charge from your reservation (unfortunately there is no way to do so on booking). If you choose to purchase the breakfast buffet separately at the hotel, this will cost roughly US$33, although there are also à la carte options for roughly US$15–20. These room rates also include basic wifi but do not include taxes and service charge.

Rooms booked from the block are run-of-house, which means that the exact room location and category is determined by availability at the time of check-in.

We have blocked 60 rooms for conference attendees that will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional rooms are on a space-available and as-needed basis. You are encouraged to make your reservation as early as possible and no later than January 10, 2024 in order to ensure the rate and availability. After the cutoff date any remaining rooms in the block that have not been reserved will be released by the hotel for sale to other guests. The group rate might not be offered after this date even if there is room availability. February/March is high season in the Caribbean and the hotel may be fully booked.

Update: The cutoff date has been extended to January 17, 2024 but some room categories may no longer be available on some dates.

Update: Some additional rooms have been added to the group block. If you are unable to book a room due to lack of availability, please email us at fc24general@ifca.ai and we will ask the hotel whether they can add more rooms (no guarantees!).

Update: The official cutoff date has passed but the hotel has not yet released the remaining rooms in the block and if you hurry they can still be booked at the group rate. Please continue to let us know if you encounter a lack of availabilty, as we may still be able to get more rooms added to the block, at least for the period of the conference/workshops (nights before and after might no longer be available at the group rate).

Update: The blocked rooms are now gone and the reservation link below will report no availablility. You can try to contact the hotel directly to see whether they will honor the group rate, at their discretion.
